Laser Technology Showcasing Forestry Tools At 2014 SAF National Convention
Forest Industry Network
Laser Technology, Inc. (LTI) will be exhibiting at the 2014 Society of American Foresters (SAF) Annual Convention at booth #823. The conference is larger this year due to the partnership with the Canadian Institute of Forestry for a joint convention.
Also being held at the same location is the International Union of Forest Research Organizations (IUFRO) World Congress. IUFRO only takes place once every 5 years, leading to estimates that several thousand forest scientists and managers from over 100 countries will be descending on Salt Lake City Utah to attend this event.
These co-located events will take place at the Salt Palace Convention Center in Salt Lake City, aiming to educate participants and allow for exchange and networking among forestry professionals from around the globe. LTI will be demonstrating several advanced tools for all aspects of the forestry field, from modeling the trees or harvesting them and laying out engineering plans to managing the ecosystem and timber cruising. LTI’s laser based technology allows for collection of more data to more features in less time and without typical frustrations when dealing with older and conventional measurement tools.
Visitors can stop by booth #823 for a hands-on demonstration of all the TruPulse® laser rangefinders, the latest in Log Deck Volume measurements as well as LTI’s biomass and woodchip Stockpile Volume Solution. The Criterion® RD 1000 for diameter and Basal Area Factor measurements will also be available to experience firsthand along with LTI’s LaserSoft® Measure app that works with your smartphone and LTI’s TruPulse laser rangefinders to effortlessly record measurements and store photos.
With LTI’s newer tools that offer higher grade accuracy and more durability, they transform the time consuming routines of field measurement into streamlined processes that are repeatable and flexible under any conditions.
